Joseph was born May 20, 1935 in New Jersey. His father was a minister and changed the family location twice before Joseph could claim Buffalo, New York as his hometown. Joseph attended the University of Buffalo where he studied engineering; he eventually graduated from Monmouth College in Illinois and later attended Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Joseph also served in the U.S. Army 1955-57. Joseph pastored in the Presbyterian Church for seven years before heading in other directions. Most of his adult life Joseph worked as a plumbing engineer. Now that he is semi-retired, Joseph has turned his talents and energy toward writing and he has completed two books; he has several others in the making.
